
The Apozhai Scenic Area is located at the junction of Lushan, Baofeng, and Ruzhou counties in Pingdingshan City, Henan Province. It sits on Dalong Mountain, on the eastern foot of Funiu Mountain. Its main peak, at approximately 878 meters, is a vibrant mix of steep cliffs and ravines, unique rocks and isolated peaks, pine forests and waterfalls, and fruit trees and residential buildings. In spring, witness the blossoming of mountain flowers; in summer, admire the sunrise over the forest; in autumn, be captivated by the charming countryside; and in winter, marvel at the icicles hanging from the pine trees.

Apo Village has a long history and profound religious culture. It is known as the Tathagata Buddha's dojo, the birthplace of Journey to the West culture, the Chu Great Wall, the ancestral Great Wall, and the spiritual practice of Guanyin. It is a sacred place for prayer and is hailed as a famous Buddhist mountain in the Central Plains.
