
The Western Henan Grand Canyon Scenic Area, located in Guandaokou Town, Lushi County, Sanmenxia, at the junction of Henan, Shaanxi, and Shanxi provinces, is a national AAA-level tourist attraction integrating rafting, wellness, and sightseeing. Stretching like a ribbon from west to east, the area stretches over 30 kilometers. The narrow, deep canyon, with its numerous rapids and rapids, boasts 99 waterfalls of varying sizes and over 300 pools.
During the flood season, the lake splatters with pearls and jade, and mist billows with thunderous roars, creating a magnificent spectacle. On sunny days, the waterfall hangs like a white silk thread, a breathtaking spectacle. The most famous of these waterfalls is Dacongtan Waterfall, known as "the most spectacular waterfall in western Henan." With a drop of over 30 meters and a width of over 10 meters, Dacongtan Waterfall plunges from a precipitous cliff face with a breathtaking roar, resembling thunder from afar and drums close up—a true masterpiece of nature. Strolling the scenic area, visitors are greeted by breathtaking views of emerald green mountains, lush valleys, cascading waterfalls, and lush wildflowers, creating a breathtaking landscape painting that is truly captivating.
The most captivating attraction at the Western Henan Grand Canyon is its large-scale water recreational attraction, "China's Most Exciting Rafting." Building on the eight-year-old "Central Plains Warriors' No. 1 Rafting," this attraction saw a significant investment of over 50 million yuan. It boasts a 30,000-square-meter pier, one of the largest in China, capable of accommodating over 1,000 people simultaneously. The newly constructed, two-story, luxurious rafting hall, spanning over 4,000 square meters, features a waiting area, rest area, screening room, shopping mall, changing rooms, and luggage storage, offering state-of-the-art facilities.
