Yangtiangang Forest Park is located in Yangtiangang, Chengbei Subdistrict, Yushui District, Xinyu City, covering a total area of 6.7 square kilometers. In August 2011, Yangtiangang was officially renamed Yuxiu Mountain. With approval from the Municipal People's Government, Yangtiangang Avenue and Kehuan Road were renamed Yuxiu Avenue and Ganxi Avenue, respectively. The name was changed back to Yangtiangang in 2014.
Yangtiangang was originally named Yanggang and Yangshan. It was renamed Yangtiangang because Huang Xizhan, a Taoist boy from Xinyu in the Northern Song Dynasty, once appeared to help the country and repelled the Jin army. He was then conferred the title of "True Man Huang Gong of Shiqiu, the founder of Yangtiangang, who gained the Tao and protected the country" by the Song Qin Sect.
Here, mountains rise and fall, lush forests and picturesque bamboos, while valleys are secluded and rocky. Jiguanling, Shiziliudan, Yipianmen, and Xiemaoshi are among the natural wonders of this region, each a work of art that is both breathtaking and wondrous. The main peak, Liangshannao, rises 450 meters above sea level and is said to have once housed the "Liangshan Stronghold." Standing atop the peak, one can gaze upon the majestic cityscape of towering skyscrapers and sprawling streets, while gazing out over the idyllic countryside of fragrant rice fields and flowing streams. One feels a sense of solitary contemplation, a tranquil spectacle of the myriad changes that unfold.

It is 150 kilometers east of the provincial capital Nanchang and 60 kilometers west of Yichun. It is connected to Mingyue Mountain, Wugong Mountain, Anyuan and other national forest parks, and is connected to Baoshi Park, Beihu Park, Kongmujiang Wetland Park and Fairy Lake Scenic Area, making it suitable for travel.
