The former site of the 11th Army Headquarters, also known as the Ye Ting Headquarters, is located inside the old Nanchang No. 2 Middle School. Construction began in 1925. During the Nanchang Uprising , the headquarters of the 24th Division of the 11th Army of the National Revolutionary Army, led by Ye Ting, was stationed at the school. This was where Ye Ting deployed battle plans and held meetings.
The old site is a two-story brick-and-wood building in the shape of a Chinese character "工" (工) in a Western style, facing south. To the east stands a sturdy, old camphor tree with lush branches and leaves. The upper floors house the military headquarters offices and conference rooms, while the lower floors house the guard unit's housing.
