
Shaanxi Qianhu National Wetland Park is located in Qianyang County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, in the middle reaches of the Qianhe Valley, a first-level tributary of the Weihe River. It covers a total area of 573.2 hectares. The park is planned to be divided into four functional areas: wetland protection and conservation area, science popularization and education exhibition area, wetland sightseeing and leisure area, and wetland management and service area.
The park is primarily characterized by riverine features, combining the characteristics of river wetlands, reservoir wetlands, and swamp wetlands. It is a typical Loess Plateau wetland in Northwest my country. The park boasts excellent water quality, abundant biodiversity, and a unique location with distinct ecological advantages.
It has a warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate with distinct seasons: cold, warm, dry, and wet. Winters are cold, windy, foggy, and with little rain or snow; springs are warm, dry, windy, and changeable; summers are hot and rainy, with a prominent summer drought and frequent thunderstorms and strong winds; and autumns are cool, with a rapid drop in temperature and significant autumn rain.
