Dayushan Scenic Area is located around Dayushan Mountain in Rushan City, Weihai, Shandong Province. It is a large-scale comprehensive tourist destination integrating sightseeing, leisure and vacation, cultural entertainment, health and wellness, as well as tourism real estate development. It is the largest comprehensive resort under construction in Shandong Province and the first large-scale comprehensive tourist resort in China with the cultural theme of "maternal love, love for mother".
The scenic area is located in Dayu Mountain in Rushan City, Weihai, which is known as "the most habitable mountain in the world for human beings". It is known as the Mother Mountain of China and the source of Chinese maternal love, not only because of the totems of the beautiful women Dayu Mountain and Xiaoru Mountain, but also because many well-known heroic mothers were born there in history.
The scenic area is planned to be divided into 9 functional zones, namely Rushan Bay Tourism Town, Maternal Love Culture Experience Zone, Health Culture Experience Zone, Religious Culture Tourist Zone, Elderly Health Park, Seaside Leisure and Vacation Community, Amusement Park Zone, Seaside Beach Activity Zone and Marine Ecological Experience Zone.
It has a temperate continental semi-humid monsoon climate with distinct four seasons, moderate cold and hot seasons, synchronized light and temperature, and simultaneous rain and heat. Spring is dry and windy, summer is hot and rainy, autumn is sunny and refreshing, and winter is cold and snowy.
