Weihai Vocational College is a full-time public higher vocational school run by the Weihai Municipal People's Government, approved by the Shandong Provincial People's Government, and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. In 2009, it was selected as a National Demonstration Higher Vocational College.

It has a temperate continental semi-humid monsoon climate with distinct four seasons, moderate cold and hot seasons, synchronized light and temperature, and simultaneous rain and heat. Spring is dry and windy, summer is hot and rainy, autumn is sunny and refreshing, and winter is cold and snowy.
