Introducing Goose Spring

Located at the foot of Eshan Mountain, 5 kilometers south of Jingxi County, Guangxi, Equan is considered one of the three most famous springs in Southwest China, along with Butterfly Spring in Dali and Xishan Ruquan in Guiping. Since ancient times, it has been one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Jingxi. With a history of over 700 years, the world-famous "Equan Leaping Carp Three Layers of Waves" has captivated countless tourists, both Chinese and foreign. The ancient stone carving of "Spiritual Spring Evening Glow," bestowed by a Ming Dynasty emperor, imbues Equan with a mystical aura.

The spring gushes out from cracks in the limestone, flows into a deep pool, and then continues eastward, becoming the Equan River. Beside the spring stands the Yangwu Temple. In front of the temple stand three massive stone tablets, including the "Equan Pavilion Stele" from the Qing Dynasty. These tablets contain historical accounts of the Equan Spring and poems inscribed on them. The temple walls, covered in numerous inscriptions and steles, appear tranquil and tranquil against the backdrop of the mountains and water.

There are many carps in the spring. It is said that when people shout loudly beside the spring, the water surface will vibrate and the carps will be frightened and jump out of the water. This is the famous Jingxi scene "Goose Spring Fish Leaping".
