Shaanxi Liping National Forest Park integrates mountain, forest, stone, water, climate, and rural landscapes. The Shima Mountain, a 10,000-acre alpine peak and stone forest geological landscape, is truly unique at this latitude and altitude. The park's layered mountains, vast forests, and clear streams offer a picturesque scene at every turn, creating a sense of harmony between man and nature and a return to nature.
The northern subtropical monsoon climate has distinct monsoon characteristics, with four distinct seasons compared to tropical regions. Generally speaking, spring and autumn are slightly shorter, while winter and summer are slightly longer. Summers are not extremely hot, and rain and heat coincide. Spring, summer, and autumn are the best seasons for travel.
The Liping Scenic Area has forests, meadows, waterfalls, stone forests and other landscapes. It is composed of four major scenic areas, including Huangyang River, Shima Mountain, and Lengba. There are more than 160 scenic spots with the original forests, Bashi folk customs, and An Han’s former residence as the main landscapes.
The unique Zhonghualongshan landscape in the scenic area is a peculiar geological phenomenon caused by the mountain fracture caused by the Wenchuan earthquake. The entire brown mountain is shaped like a giant dragon. It is speculated that the mountain was formed in the Ordovician period 400 million to 500 million years ago and has extremely high ornamental value; the Shimashan Scenic Area is a typical high mountain peak cluster and stone forest landscape, which is the only one in the country at the same latitude and altitude.
The Lengba Scenic Area is dominated by alpine meadows, home to herds of cattle and sheep, and a profusion of mountain flowers, creating a picturesque pastoral landscape. Every year in March and April, when rapeseed blossoms bloom, Liping transforms into a sea of blossoms, painting the entire area a vibrant golden hue. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful.
