Nanqiang Civilization Village is one of two civilized ecological demonstration villages established in the Boao New Area of Qionghai following the Forum for Asia's establishment in Boao. Following renovations and improvements, most of the existing buildings have undergone facade renovations and upgraded conservation measures, giving the village a brand new look. The farmhouses are neatly arranged, and deep courtyards shaded by coconut trees are home to golden rice, tender green melon vines, and a bounty of betel nuts, longans, lychees, and bananas. The village offers a captivating glimpse into the folk customs of southern China, a model of beautiful villages in the development of a socialist new countryside.
Along the village's forested paths, you can admire historic wells, legendary love stories, and century-old trees. Climbing to the village's hilltop observation deck offers panoramic views of the tropical countryside, the Boao Forum for Asia permanent venue, the Boao Golf Country Club, the Golden Coast Hot Spring Hotel, the Blue Coast Villa District, the Wanquan River, Yudai Beach, and the vast expanse of the South China Sea. Enjoy a special meal featuring organic farm produce while enjoying the cool ocean breeze.
