In Shencun Town, Ninghai County, Ningbo, Zhejiang, lies a mountain village called Dragon Palace. Legend has it that this is where a dragon hides. West of the village lies Shidou Pond, nestled beneath a sheer cliff. Its depth is bottomless, its emerald waters shimmering year-round, resembling a crystal palace.
Longgong Ancient Village preserves several ancient dwellings, three intricately carved ancestral halls, numerous ancient temples, several sections of ancient roads, four ancient bridges, and over ten ancient trees. The ancestral hall is visible upon entering the village. The village also houses the Yuying Academy, one of the four ancient academies in Ninghai's northern township.
There are two well-preserved ancient houses in the village, both of which have "five generations living under one roof", so the village is also known as the "Longevity Village".
