Introducing Gaolishan

Gaolishan, also known as Julishan, is located east of Chuanshan Village, Shima Town, Dantu District, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. With an elevation of 425.7 meters, it is the highest peak in the eastern Ningzhen Mountain Range and the third highest in Zhenjiang. The mountain is primarily composed of shale, sandstone, and limestone, and the Gaolishan Formation of the Lower Limestone Series of the Paleozoic is named after it.

Gaoli Mountain has a rounded ridge, with a steep cliff at the top. The southern slopes are covered with shrubs and planted pine and fir trees; the northern slopes are covered with bamboo forests, and the upper part of the mountain is covered with meadows.
