Changsha Underwater World consists of seven functional areas: the Polar Oceanarium, Science and Education Center, Water Park, and Children's Playground. The Oceanarium primarily houses marine life, divided into freshwater and saltwater fish areas. The Polar Hall, primarily a polar animal area, includes a beluga whale pool, sea lion pool, dolphin pool, seal pool, penguin pool, and otter pool for aquatic exhibits, rest, and performances, as well as terrestrial exhibits and rest enclosures such as the Arctic Wolf and Arctic Fox enclosures. Changsha Underwater World also features two must-see performances: the mermaid dance show in the main underwater tunnel pool window and the animal star show in the Ocean Theater.
