The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon originally had two names. One was called Rotten Boat Gorge: it originated from Shenquan Creek, and the water of the entire Grand Canyon and the Southern Red Flag Canal all originated from here. Legend has it that a lot of rotten boat planks gushed out from the spring in the past, and the local people had no idea where the rotten boat planks came from, so this place got the name "Rotten Boat Gorge"; the other name was Luanquan Gorge: it refers to the two stone walls in the canyon, with numerous streams and springs, and the gorge is full of flowing water.
March to May and September to November are the best times to visit
Glass Bridge
Located in the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area, this is the world's tallest and longest glass bridge. Its deck is clad entirely in transparent glass, and the center features the world's highest bungee jump. Standing on the bridge, you can take in the panoramic view of the valley floor 400 meters below. Upon completion, the main glass bridge will be submitted for inclusion in the Guinness World Records.

The Grand Canyon ticket window does not sell adult tickets, only discounted tickets (such as senior tickets, student tickets, local tickets, etc.). Adult full-price tickets must be booked online. The daily limit is 8,000 people: 6,000 group tickets, 1,000 individual tourists, and 1,000 online tickets. Reservations must be made one day in advance.
