During holidays and summer evenings, groups of people flock to Beixiang Mountain to admire the natural scenery and the ablaze lights of Longde County. This towering mountain, resembling an elephant and located north of the county seat, is called Beixiang Mountain. It is roughly square in shape, approximately 1 kilometer long and wide, with its main peak at an elevation of approximately 807 meters. It is composed primarily of feldspathic sandstone, siltstone, and shale from the Xiangshan Group. Sparse forests dot the mountainside. Hongfa Temple stands on the mountainside. A pavilion stands on the summit, inscribed with the inscription: "Viewing a Thousand Houses by Day, Admiring Ten Thousand Lights by Night." Pine, cypress, and wild peach trees grow on the mountain. In spring, the peach blossoms bloom, shrouding the mountain like a thousand crimson clouds.
