Changqi Ancient Village is located in the eastern part of Lubao Town, Sanshui District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, 10 kilometers from the town center and adjacent to Guangzhou's Huadu District. The village was founded during the Hongwu reign of Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, and its oldest buildings date back to the early Qing Dynasty.
Changqi Ancient Village, nestled against the mountainside, with Wenbi Mountain at its back and Jiuqu River beside it, embodies the water village and clan culture of Lingnan. Over a hundred Ming and Qing dynasty buildings are well-preserved within the village. Most are quadrangular courtyards, each with a living room, four bedrooms, a bathroom, and a courtyard. They are adorned with brick carvings, stone carvings, wood carvings, and murals, primarily depicting landscapes, figures, flowers, and birds.
