Batiantai is the highest peak of Taibai Mountain, the main peak of the Qinling Mountains. With an altitude of 3,771.2 meters, Batiantai is the highest peak in the eastern part of mainland my country and the highest point in Shaanxi Province.
Baxiantai is named after a Taoist temple. It is said to be the place where Jiang Ziya appointed gods and immortals after King Wu defeated King Zhou. On the top of Baxiantai, there is a small temple where Jiang Ziya was said to have appointed gods and immortals. The chair where Jiang Ziya sat when he appointed gods and immortals is enshrined. People are not allowed to sit on it.
The "prayer piles" bathed in the morning sun on Baxiantai resemble the Mani stones found in Tibet, carrying people's wishes. They are said to have been built by climbers. The "Stone Castle" on Baxiantai was once a Taoist temple, destroyed and rebuilt many times. In the summer of 2011, a lightning strike on the roof sparked a fire that once again destroyed the building.
Mount Taibai boasts stunning scenery. In June, the snow-covered peaks shimmer with silver light, visible for hundreds of miles. This spectacular sight is considered one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Guanzhong. Baxiantai, shaped like a triangular pyramid, towers into the clouds and is incredibly steep. Climbing Baxiantai offers breathtaking vistas, including the Fengshen Terrace and the Thunder God Temple. Spectacular vistas stretch far and wide, revealing the Qinling Mountains and the Wei River, dotted with villages, creating a breathtaking landscape.

Currently, night visits and light shows are not available at Batiantai. However, during certain festivals or special events, there may be evening tours or performances related to local cultural practices.

Nearby attractions include the Famen Temple, known for its Buddhist relics, and the Taoist temple at Qianling Mountain. These can easily be combined for a day trip in the Baoji region.
There are small souvenir shops near the entrance selling traditional Chinese crafts, religious items, and local snacks. Popular items include small statues, calligraphy scrolls, and locally made incense.
To continue your trip, taxis are the best option, as they can take you to other nearby attractions. Baoji's public transport system is also available, but taxis or private cars will offer more flexibility for sightseeing.
