The Getuo River Scenic Area is a national scenic area and a national 4A-level tourist attraction with a total area of 18.6 square kilometers. It integrates the essence of karst, mountains, water, caves, stones and forests, and combines majesty, strangeness, danger, steepness, seclusion and antiquity into one, forming a perfect landscape picture. It is a rare karst natural park.
The Getuo River Scenic Area is a dual natural and cultural heritage site in China. It was selected as one of the most beautiful places in China in 2006. It is home to the fascinating Yalu King Culture and is now applying for World Natural Heritage status.

Within the area, you'll find rolling peaks, deep canyons, majestic caves, a crisscrossing network of surface and underground rivers, primeval forests in "blind valleys" formed by the collapse of ancient river channels, the Miao village in the cave, a "living fossil of cave dwellings," and pristine, ancient hanging coffin cave burials.
