Introducing Langgong Scenic Area

Langgong Scenic Area is located on Shaijia Mountain in Guanling Buyi and Miao Autonomous County, Guizhou Province, not far from Huangguoshu Waterfall. It is one of the six major scenic areas in Huangguoshu Scenic Area and can be reached by boat rafting.

Surrounded by water on three sides, the area boasts a broad riverbed and gentle currents, towering mountains and expansive farmland. The scattered villages are shaded by ancient banyan trees, banana trees, and kapok trees, creating a subtropical valley scene.

The people here are skilled singers and dancers. On the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, young Buyi men and women celebrate joyful occasions. On either side of the field, men and women form their own groups. Those who find love will gather in fields, under trees, by the river, or on cliffs, sitting back to back, expressing their love through song. This is the unique Buyi tradition of " ganbiao . "
