Fangyan Scenic Area is located in the eastern part of Yongkang City, about 20 kilometers away from Yongkang urban area. It is a unique landscape rooted in Danxia landform.
As early as 1985, Fangyan Scenic Area, with its breathtaking cliffs, stunning natural stone sculptures, numerous caves, and dazzling waterfalls and lakes, was approved as one of the first key scenic spots in Zhejiang Province. The area encompasses eight scenic areas: Fangyan Mountain, Wufeng, Nanyan, Shiguliao, Lingshan Lake, Martyrs Cemetery, and Zhuangyuan Lake.
The scenery is quite nice. Many famous TV series have been filmed here, such as "Chinese Paladin" and "The Legend of Miyue". The Hu Gong Temple on the mountain is very popular, with people burning incense and worshipping the gods in an endless stream. Overall, it is a place worth visiting and suitable for a weekend trip to the suburbs.
