Introducing Haibaota Temple

Located in the northern suburbs of Yinchuan, Haibao Temple boasts a history of over 1,500 years and is Yinchuan's only nationally recognized open temple. Its Haibao Pagoda is the oldest Buddhist structure in Ningxia. Echoing the Chengtian Temple Pagoda in the city, the Haibao Pagoda is one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Ningxia and is known as the "Ancient Pagoda Reaching the Sky." The Haibao Pagoda rests on a spacious square six-story base, comprising eleven steps and a total height of 54 meters. The pagoda is square in shape, with a ridge protruding from each of its four sides, forming a "Y" (Chinese character) shape. It is one of my country's sixteen famous pagodas. Since its opening, Haibao Temple has hosted the Ullambana Festival annually on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, drawing crowds from far and wide.
