Chongli County, where Great Wall Ridge is located, has the best natural skiing conditions in North China. The amount of snow, snow season, and snow quality are comparable to those of Yabuli in Heilongjiang and Beida Lake in Jilin. Wind speed, temperature and other conditions are better than those of ski resorts in the Northeast. It is suitable for outdoor activities without frostbite, and is convenient for mechanical operation and outdoor work.
The Chongli Plateau Training Base of the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau is the best place for national fitness activities, integrating winter skiing, summer training, outdoor sports, and leisure and summer vacation.
