Longmenchang Village is located in Shanlin Village, Zhongxian Township, Youxi County, 57 kilometers from Youxi County. Once a silver smelting site during the Song Dynasty, the area still retains traces of ancient mining pits and slag. Slag is scattered throughout the village, with the thickest accumulation reaching over three meters, demonstrating its scale and production. It now boasts the largest cluster of ancient ginkgo trees in the province.
The Longmenchang Ancient Ginkgo Trees are a historical ecological garden treasure, and are the site of a legendary book written by Zhu Xi. This ancient ginkgo cluster boasts 353 trees, over 300 of which are over 700 years old. It is the largest cluster of ancient ginkgo trees in Fujian Province and serves as a creative base for the Fujian Photographers Association.
Autumn and winter are the most beautiful seasons here. Walking into this colorful ancient ginkgo forest is like walking into a golden and charming fairy tale world.
