Originally Chiang Kai-shek's garden villa in Suzhou, it became the Suzhou State Guesthouse in 1952. Due to a comprehensive renovation, the hotel has become the most distinctive five-star garden-style business hotel in Suzhou.

It is located in the southeast of the picturesque Gusu City, adjacent to Canglang Pavilion in the west, Wangshi Garden in the east, and a tourist shopping street in the north. It is crowded with merchants and has convenient transportation. It is the only garden villa-style state guesthouse in Suzhou city.
