Akekul Lake, also known as the "Human-shaped Lake," is located in the northernmost tip of Xinjiang, my country (in Hemu Kanas Mongol Township, Burqin County, Altay Prefecture). Bordered by Mongolia to the east, Russia to the north, and Kazakhstan to the west, Akekul Lake is also known as the White Lake. It is the source lake of Kanas Lake. Nestled in the high mountains of the Altay region, the lake is Y-shaped and nestled amidst the towering hills.
Located at an altitude of 3,000 meters, this alpine lake is a moraine-dammed cold lake on the northern slopes of the Southern Tianshan Mountains. Its surface is deep and clear, shaped like a crescent moon, nestled among the surrounding mountains. The lake has a circumference of approximately 9 kilometers, and its inlet and outlet are nowhere to be found.
Paradise Lake displays a different beauty from morning to night. In the morning, the lake is at its calmest, offering clear reflections of the snow-capped mountains. As afternoon approaches, the lake gradually shimmers, and sunlight begins to play a role, adding to the overall beauty of the lake. After sunset, before the moon rises, the stars of the plateau take center stage. Once the moon rises, it illuminates the entire snow-capped mountains and the lake, creating a completely different scene.
