Yuhua Palace, located in Yuhua Town in the northwest suburbs of Tongchuan City, is the only imperial summer palace in western China. It is also the place where the eminent Tang monk Xuanzang translated Buddhist scriptures, spread the Dharma, founded the sect, and passed away. It also boasts a large expanse of natural Pinus tabulaeformis forest, offering a glimpse into both cultural history and natural beauty.

The ruins of Suchengyuan in the scenic area are the ruins of Sucheng Hall in Yuhua Palace of the Tang Dynasty. It was renamed Suchengyuan during the Yuhua Temple period. It was also the place where Master Xuanzang stayed, studied Buddhism and passed away.

Because it is surrounded by mountains and has lush vegetation, waterfalls and clear springs can be seen everywhere. There are also many pools and streams in the mountains with clear water. It has become a summer resort for the surrounding citizens.
