Introducing Yijun Terraces

The Yijun dryland terraces, known as "God's Fingerprint," are one of the 100 most worthwhile destinations in China's beautiful countryside and the magical Northwest. Under the golden sunlight, the graceful curves of the dryland terraces resemble a necklace adorning the loess plateau. With the inns and houses scattered throughout the village, the entire village resembles a pearl embedded in the mountains. At the turn of spring and summer, thousands of acres of corn fields covered with plastic film wind like chains from the foot of the mountain to the summit. The small hills resemble snails, the large ones resemble towers, and the distinct lines create a breathtaking and spectacular scene.

Climate and best time to travel

The warm temperate continental monsoon climate is suitable for traveling in spring to enjoy the terraced fields.

Recommended number of days and locations for visiting

The dryland terraces are located in Tangnihe Village, Shankuquan Town, approximately 54 kilometers from Tongchuan City. Here, the Weibei Plain gradually transitions to the Loess Plateau, resulting in a landscape dotted with hills and gullies. Approaching the village along the road, you'll be surrounded by terraces. The elevated viewing platform offers sweeping views, making it a great spot for photography.
