Jinshui Park is located on the east bank of the Yellow River, north of the Yinchuan Yellow River Bridge, 13 kilometers from Yinchuan City and 2 kilometers from Yinchuan Hedong Airport. Spanning over 700 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), Jinshui Park borders the Yellow River to the west and the Maowusu Desert to its back, making it an ideal destination for exploring the Yellow River, admiring the vast desert, and experiencing leisure and entertainment. The ancient ferry crossing within the park was once the gateway to the Western Xia capital (present-day Yinchuan City).

In 1697, Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty crossed the Yellow River here to pacify Galdan, leaving behind a magnificent poem: "After traversing the mountains and borderlands, I once again crossed the river." The large sculpture "Ode to the Yellow River," located in the center of Jinshui Park, is a landmark of the Jinshui Tourist Area. Standing 19.98 meters tall, its base houses a 1,000-square-meter exhibition hall showcasing the history of the Yellow River. Inside the sculpture, a sightseeing elevator takes visitors to the top, offering panoramic views of the scenery along both banks. It truly captures the scene of "looking westward to the source of the river, the vast sky stretches, the turbid current churns from Kunlun." From the River Viewing Pavilion, boats can be taken upstream to admire structures and historical sites such as the Yellow River Bridge, Hedong Airport, and Ganlu Temple. Downstream, visitors can admire the Hengcheng Castle, the Ming Great Wall, Han Tombs, and the Shuidonggou Ruins on the east side of the river, and Ninghetai and the Yellow River Shelterbelt on the west side. The fusion of water and sand creates a spectacular scene, presenting visitors with the breathtaking beauty of "the boundless Yellow Desert" and "the wind-driven waves on the beaches and islets."
