Huashishao Ethnic Village, located on the Baishui River at the junction of Zhenning and Guanling Autonomous Counties within the Huangguoshu Scenic Area, is an ancient Buyi village at an altitude of 900 meters . The village is shaped like a bee's waist, facing east with its back against Xiaomipo and its face facing Hongya Mountain. The Baishui River flows from north to south in front of the village.
The village boasts well-preserved ethnic architecture and customs, and is also the hometown of Ruan Wan, who starred in Zhao Wei's "So Young." The village is nestled in a lush greenery, home to over a dozen large banyan trees, each with its own sturdy, twisted roots and lush branches. Five of these are over 500 years old, and the largest is over 2,000 years old.
In summer, you can hear the roar of the waterfall while sitting in the village; in autumn and winter, it becomes a rock viewing beach.
