The shore grassland is located in the lakeside area south of the intersection of Luzhou Avenue and Huanhu North Road in Hefei City. It starts from Jiangxi Road in the east and ends at Beilaowei Bridge in the west. It is about 1.6 kilometers long and has a total area of about 320,000 square meters, of which the turf paving area is about 280,000 square meters.
The grassland consists of seven small hills and two inner lakes. Various flower and grass seeds have been sown around the lakes, and when they flourish, the grassland will be even more charming. Standing on one of the hills, I saw the Yangtze River Crossing Memorial Hall and the willow trees swaying along the shores of Chaohu Lake, creating a refreshing and relaxing scene.
The "Grassland on the Shore" was built by piling up mountains and managing water according to the original topography, ditches, ponds and canals, and great emphasis was placed on the protection and restoration of the original ecological wetlands.
A sightseeing track is currently being built around the grassland. Once completed, citizens will be able to ride fun bikes, balance bikes, and small-wheeled sightseeing vehicles for leisure and enjoyment while enjoying the beautiful scenery. "A grass skiing track is also under construction," said the project manager. In the future, more activities will be "introduced" to the grassland, such as barbecues, archery, and kite and tent festivals.
Subtropical monsoon climate; since its opening, the shore grassland has become the "new favorite" for Hefei citizens' weekend trips and is suitable for travel in all seasons.
