RV parking at Kauffman stadium

Traveling to Kauffman Stadium to see a Royals game next year with our 25' RV and looking for parking- preferably something we can purchase in advance.

Royals website mentions "oversized parking" but I can't find out WHERE it is of how to purchase it in advance. Anyone have any knowledge to share?

Another option would be to Uber over from Worlds of Fun RV Village (10 miles). Recommendations?

You’re on the right track — yes, Kauffman Stadium does allow parking for RVs / oversized vehicles, but there are a few important caveats and steps.

### ✅ How RV / oversized parking works at Kauffman Stadium

  • Parking for “oversized vehicles” (RVs, large vans, etc.) is handled via an “Oversize Vehicle Parking Pass.”
  • The designated area for RV / oversized-vehicle parking is Lot N — that’s the lot you’ll be directed to if you have the proper oversized pass.
  • Cost (for the 2025/2026 season) for an oversized-vehicle pass if purchased in advance is US$41.
  • If you don’t pre-purchase, you *can* still buy oversized-vehicle parking at the gate — but the price rises (e.g. to about US$50).
  • Purchasing must be done via the official MLB Ballpark App (on your phone).
  • Important: there are no hookups (no water, electricity, sewer) in Lot N, and overnight parking is not permitted.
  • You must park only in designated oversized-vehicle spots — you can’t take up multiple regular-car spots, or park on grass.

So in short — yes you can bring a 25′ RV, but you’ll need to buy the oversized parking pass via the MLB Ballpark App in advance (or pay more at the gate), and plan to stay just for the duration of the game (no overnight stay, no hookups). Lot N is your location.

### 🚗 What your “other option” looks like — staying at near-by RV park, then rideshare/bus

If you don’t mind not parking right at the stadium, staying at a campground nearby and then doing Uber / Lyft / rideshare (or public transit) to the game is a reasonable alternative. A convenient campground option is — it’s roughly 10-12 miles from Kauffman Stadium and accepts RVs.

Benefits of this approach:

  • You get full hookups, showers, etc. at the campground (which Kauffman’s lot doesn’t provide).
  • You avoid potential hassles with RV clearance, navigating large lots, or paying gate-day premiums, especially if you arrive right before game time.
  • After the game, you don’t have to deal with stadium parking exit traffic with a big vehicle — you can just rideshare back to the RV park.

Downsides:

  • You lose the convenience of being right at the stadium — you’ll need to rideshare or take public transit (or drive from the campground, risking typical game-day traffic).
  • You’ll need to plan arrival and departure carefully, especially if there are post-game crowds or surge pricing for Uber/Lyft.

### 📝 My recommendation / what I’d do if I were you

If it were me and I had a 25′ RV: I’d go ahead and buy the Oversize Vehicle Parking pass for Lot N via the MLB Ballpark App well in advance. That gives the guarantee of a spot, avoids surprises on game day, and keeps the trip simple. But — I’d accept the trade-offs (no hookups, no overnight).

If I were bringing a bigger group or planning to stay overnight, I might instead stay at Worlds of Fun Village (or a similar RV park) and Uber or bus in. That gives more comfort for the RV stay, though requires more logistical planning around game-day transport.
