Red Sox Tickets - August 2025

Hi

We are coming to Boston next August and would love to take my 14 year old son to a Red Sox game. I have seen on the schedule that there seems to be a home game on Tuesday 19th August which would work for us but there is also one on the 18th August with the same team. So will it be on both nights? We are flying in on the Monday so can’t make a game that day. Also when will tickets be released? Apologies if there are stupid questions I’m from the UK! Thanks for your help

It’s great to hear that you’ll be visiting Boston and planning to catch a Red Sox game! Here’s some information to help you with your questions:

1. Will the Red Sox be playing on both nights (August 18th and 19th)?

If you see games listed on both August 18th and 19th with the same team, it’s likely that the Red Sox have a two-game series with that team, with one game on the 18th and another on the 19th. These series are common in Major League Baseball, especially for weekday games. So, yes, there will be a game on both nights. You should be able to attend the game on the 19th, which works for your schedule.

2. When will tickets be released?

Tickets for Red Sox games are typically released well in advance, usually around the time the schedule for the season is announced, which happens in the fall or early winter prior to the start of the season. However, tickets for specific games, especially for August 2025, may not be available to the public until the spring or summer of 2025. To keep track of when tickets become available, you can sign up for updates on the Red Sox official website, or you can monitor secondary ticket sellers like StubHub or SeatGeek. Additionally, there will likely be pre-sale options for Red Sox season ticket holders or those who are subscribed to their newsletter.

3. Tips for Buying Tickets

  • Buy tickets early: Red Sox games can sell out, especially during the summer months, so it’s a good idea to purchase tickets as soon as they are released.
  • Consider the "Green Monster" seats: If you want a truly unique experience, the seats above the Green Monster (the famous left-field wall) at Fenway Park are an iconic spot for fans, but they can sell out quickly.
  • Check for family-friendly seating: If you’re attending with your son, consider looking for seating that is more family-friendly, such as in the "Family Section," which offers a more relaxed environment.

4. Additional Information

  • As you're flying in on the Monday, you might want to explore Fenway Park from the outside or take a Fenway Park Tour if you're unable to attend a game that day. Tours are available on non-game days and will give you a great look behind the scenes at the iconic stadium.
  • If you're traveling from the UK, you might also enjoy learning about Fenway’s rich history—it's one of the oldest ballparks in Major League Baseball!

I hope this information helps you plan your Red Sox experience in Boston. It’s a fantastic city to visit, and a game at Fenway Park is a memorable experience. Enjoy your trip and the game!
