Transportation options from Logan to The Verb

First trip to Boston coming end of Feb for a show. We are staying at The Verb. Can anyone help with transportation options from BOS to the Verb other than Uber/Lyft. Not planning on renting a car. Appreciate any help.

Traveling from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to The Verb Hotel in Fenway is straightforward even without renting a car or using rideshares. There are several convenient public transportation options, including the subway (the “T”), shuttle services, and buses.

Subway (The “T”):

  • Take the Blue Line from any Logan terminal (free shuttle from terminals to the Blue Line stops) inbound toward Bowdoin.
  • At State Street Station, transfer to the Orange Line heading toward Forest Hills.
  • Exit at Kenmore Station, which is the closest stop to The Verb. The hotel is about a 5–10 minute walk from Kenmore Station.
  • This trip typically takes 40–50 minutes, depending on transfer times and walking between stations.

Airport Shuttle + Subway:

  • The Logan Express is a bus service connecting Logan to several Boston suburbs, but it’s less useful for Fenway. Instead, you could take the Massport shuttle to a nearby T station (like Airport Station on the Blue Line) and then follow the T route described above.

Silver Line Bus:

  • The SL1 Silver Line connects Logan Airport to South Station for free. From South Station, you can transfer to the Red Line toward Alewife, then transfer to the Green Line at Park Street Station toward Kenmore Station.
  • This option involves more transfers but can be useful if the Blue/Orange Line combination is inconvenient for your terminal.

Walking/Shuttle Tips:

  • Follow signs for the free Massport Airport Shuttle to reach the Blue Line stations from any terminal.
  • Fenway and The Verb are very walkable from Kenmore Station, and the area is generally safe and well-lit.
  • Consider purchasing a CharlieCard or single-ride ticket for the T; cards can be used on buses and subway lines throughout the city.

Overall, the fastest and simplest option without Uber or Lyft is the Blue Line from Logan to State Street, then Orange Line to Kenmore, followed by a short walk to The Verb. Public transit in Boston is reliable and cost-effective, especially compared to airport taxis or shuttle services.
