Live music Tuesday night

Hi All

My friend and I are flying in Tues for a concert wed in March. Are there any bars that are fun on a Tuesday night? Would love some music (rock or country) but i know that is unlikely on a Tuesday

Thanks!

If you're looking for live music on a Tuesday night in Boston, you're in luck! While Tuesday nights might be a bit quieter than weekends, there are still some great spots to enjoy live performances, especially if you're into rock or country music. Here are a few suggestions for bars and venues where you can find some good tunes on a Tuesday night:

  • House of Blues Boston: Located in the Faneuil Hall area, House of Blues often hosts live performances, and on some nights, they have smaller shows or open mic events. It’s a great spot for live music, especially if you’re into rock, blues, or soul. They also have a vibrant atmosphere, making it a fun place for a Tuesday night out.
  • The Bell in Hand Tavern: This iconic Boston bar often features live bands, even on a Tuesday. It’s a lively spot with multiple levels and a great crowd. The music tends to be a mix of rock and pop hits, and you can usually find a fun crowd here, especially if you enjoy a bit of a party vibe.
  • Howl at the Moon: While it’s more known for its dance floors, Howl at the Moon (located on High Street) does host live music events, including some rock and pop cover bands. The atmosphere is casual, and you can always have a good time dancing to live tunes. It’s a fun option for a Tuesday night, especially if you want something upbeat and interactive.
  • The Lansdowne Pub: In the Fenway area, Lansdowne Pub is known for its great live music scene. While it leans more toward Irish and folk music, you may find rock or country performances here as well. The venue has a cozy vibe, and there’s often live music on weekdays, including Tuesdays. It’s a great place for a relaxed yet fun night out.
  • Cavanagh's Irish Pub: For a more laid-back spot with live music, head to Cavanagh’s in Dorchester. They typically offer acoustic rock, folk, and country music on Tuesday nights. It’s a cozy pub with a good selection of drinks and a relaxed atmosphere, perfect if you're looking to enjoy some live tunes without a huge crowd.
  • JJ Foley’s Bar & Grille: For a quintessential Boston experience, JJ Foley’s offers a laid-back atmosphere with live local music, including rock and classic tunes. It’s a traditional Irish pub, so you can enjoy some hearty food and drinks while listening to local musicians. The vibe here is casual and welcoming, and it’s a great choice for a low-key, fun evening.

Even on a Tuesday night, Boston has some great places to find live music. While it might not be as bustling as the weekend, these venues offer a good mix of live bands and a fun atmosphere, perfect for a night out before your concert on Wednesday. Enjoy your time in the city!
