Greyhound bus station near or in the Atlanta Airport

I am traveling to Georgia for a ceremony. From Atlanta GA I have to travel to Columbus GA. It’s cheaper to take a bus than to uber, by chance , is there a greyhound bus station in walking distance to the Atlanta airport ?

Unfortunately, there isn't a Greyhound bus station within walking distance of the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. However, there are a few convenient options for getting from the airport to the nearest Greyhound bus station.

The main Greyhound station in Atlanta is located at:

  • Greyhound Bus Station
232 Forsyth Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30303

This station is approximately 8 miles (15-20 minutes) from the airport, and you can easily reach it by taking a taxi, ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft, or public transportation.

Here are a few options for getting from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport to the Greyhound station:

  • Taxi or Ride-sharing: The quickest and most convenient option. A ride from the airport to the Greyhound station will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, and cost around $15-$25.
  • Public Transit (MARTA): You can take the MARTA Blue Line (East-West) directly from the airport. Take the train from the airport station heading toward Kensington, and get off at Five Points Station (the 3rd stop). From Five Points, it's a short 5-10 minute walk to the Greyhound station. This option is cost-effective, with a fare of about $2.50 per person. Total travel time is around 30-40 minutes.
  • Shuttle Services: Some hotels near the airport may offer shuttle services to the Greyhound station, so check with your accommodation to see if this is an option.

Although the Greyhound station is not in walking distance from the airport, MARTA provides a convenient and affordable option, while ride-sharing offers a faster, more direct route. Either way, you'll have a smooth connection to your bus ride to Columbus, GA!
