Fin up water park

I heard lake Lanier Margaritaville waterpark redid some things. I think it’s now called fin up? Has anyone been there since this new addition I’m thinking of bringing two teenagers 18 and the other 21. Any thoughts if it’s worth it and how crowded?

Yes, you're correct! The Lake Lanier Margaritaville Waterpark has recently undergone some exciting updates and rebranding. It's now known as "Fin Up Waterpark," and it offers a fresh, revamped experience. The park has expanded its attractions, which include new water slides, a lazy river, wave pool, and other aquatic attractions. It’s geared to appeal to all ages, so even though it’s designed with families in mind, there are definitely plenty of attractions for teens and young adults to enjoy.

Since you’re planning to visit with two teenagers (18 and 21), this could definitely be a fun trip for all of you. There are thrilling rides, water slides, and relaxation areas that should keep everyone entertained. Some of the updates focus on larger water slides and high-speed attractions, which would definitely appeal to older teens and young adults looking for a bit more excitement than the traditional family-friendly parks. There are also private cabanas if you’re looking for a more relaxed experience.

  • Waterpark Highlights:
    • Exciting water slides like "The Wave" and "The Riptide" for adrenaline seekers.
    • A wave pool that adds a fun, beach-like atmosphere.
    • Plenty of seating and shaded areas to take a break between activities.
    • Interactive play areas for younger children, if you plan on bringing younger family members in the future.
    • A lazy river for relaxing and floating around.
  • Overall Atmosphere:
    • Very family-friendly but with options for thrill-seekers, making it great for teens and young adults.
    • Modern amenities and upgraded food options, making it more enjoyable for older teens and adults who might prefer something more than just typical park food.
  • Crowd Levels:
    • Weekends and holidays tend to be more crowded, so visiting during off-peak times (early in the day or weekdays) can give you a more relaxed experience.
    • It can get crowded during peak summer months, so you may want to arrive early to secure good spots, especially if you want to claim a seat by the wave pool or lazy river.

All in all, the revamped Fin Up Waterpark is a solid choice for teens and young adults. It combines exciting water attractions with plenty of relaxation options. Just be mindful of crowd levels during peak hours, and plan your visit accordingly. If you like waterparks and want a fun day with a mix of excitement and relaxation, it’s definitely worth considering!
