Easter Brunch
Does anyone have any suggestions for a place that will have an Easter brunch?
Good question — Indian Rocks Beach itself doesn’t have a ton of “big hotel-buffet-style” Easter brunch spots, but there are a few nearby places that are very good options, plus some local favorites that might work depending on how formal vs relaxed you want to go. Here are some suggestions and things to think about:
- TJ’s Italian Café (Indian Rocks Beach): This is a local staple, and they now serve weekend brunch (Saturdays & Sundays from 10am–2pm). Their brunch menu includes classic breakfast items (eggs, omelettes), pancakes, Italian-inspired dishes, and even some boozy brunch cocktails. While not specifically “Easter brunch,” it would be a very comfortable, local, family-friendly spot.
- Ocean Seven (Clearwater / Sand Key area): They’re hosting an Easter Sunday brunch from 11:30am–3:00pm. Their menu features brunch favorites like smoked salmon, steak & eggs, shrimp & grits, and southern-fried chicken, which should appeal to both adults and kids.
- Latitude 28 (Clearwater Beach): For a more upscale Easter brunch, this venue offers a large brunch buffet (seafood, carving stations, pastries, etc.) with Gulf views. It’s a little further out, but great if you’re okay with a short drive and want a festive, full brunch spread.
- The Birchwood (St. Petersburg): If you don’t mind a bit more of a drive, The Birchwood hosts a grand Easter Brunch Buffet in their ballroom. Their buffet typically includes prime rib, made-to-order omelets and waffles, seafood, and lots of dessert — good for a celebratory Easter meal.
Pro Tips:
- Make reservations early: Easter brunch spots tend to fill up fast, especially for buffets or specialty menus.
- Consider your drive: Some of the best brunch buffets are outside Indian Rocks Beach (Clearwater, St. Pete), so factor in traffic and parking.
- Double check the year’s Easter event: Brunch menus and events can change year to year, so call the restaurant in early/mid-March to confirm they’re doing a special Easter brunch when you’ll be there.
In short: for a relaxed, local feel, TJ’s Italian Café is your best bet in Indian Rocks Beach. If you want a big, festive Easter buffet, Latitude 28 or The Birchwood are excellent nearby options.
