
Shimenjian, located in the central-western part of Mount Lu, between Tianchi Peak and Tiechuan Peak, covers over 6,000 mu and boasts over 100 scenic spots. Combining grandeur , danger, wonder, and beauty , it is a comprehensive showcase of geological evolution, biological evolution, natural wonders, and historical culture. It is known as " the most beautiful scenery in Mount Lu " and " the most beautiful landscape in the world . " It was once considered the most scenic spot in Lushan.
Two peaks stand side by side like a gate, and a waterfall gushes out from between them with a resounding roar. The canyon is 1.2 kilometers long , with the valley floor at an elevation of 400 to 800 meters above sea level. The cliffs on both sides are sheer and sheer. Shimenjian Waterfall, one of the ten waterfalls of Lushan Mountain, is located at the end of the western route.
