Discount tickets for Disney Theme park
Hi,
I plan to visit Orlando in April. Please advise if there is anywhere I can get discounted tickets for a 3 day pass that are legit. My coworker told me I can get some in travel places outside the park, but I’m hesitant if it’s authentic. I don’t want to have any issues during my trip. Also, please advise any fun things to do for teen boys in April besides theme parks. I will have 6 full days in Orlando. I plan to go to Sarasota on the 1 st and 5 days in Orlando. 3 days dedicated to theme parks. Any advise or tips for eating, shopping and activities to do is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
It’s great that you’re planning a trip to Orlando! Here’s some helpful advice on discounted tickets, teen-friendly activities, and things to do during your stay.
Discounted Disney Tickets:
While it's tempting to look for deals on tickets, be cautious when purchasing discounted Disney tickets from third-party vendors. Some places offer discounts, but many of them are not authorized and can be unreliable, leading to potential issues at the gate.
- Authorized Sellers: The best way to get legitimate tickets is through official Disney channels or authorized sellers. You can purchase tickets directly from Disney’s website, or check with reputable discount sites like Undercover Tourist, which often offers slightly discounted tickets for Florida residents or multi-day passes. Ensure the site you’re purchasing from has a good reputation and check for any reviews.
- AAA Discounts: If you're a member of AAA, you may be able to get discounts on park tickets by visiting a local AAA branch.
- Discounted Packages: Disney also offers special ticket packages when you book a hotel and park tickets together. Look into the Disney resort offers for any bundled deals.
Fun Things for Teen Boys (Outside the Theme Parks):
If your teen boys are looking for activities beyond the theme parks, Orlando offers plenty of options to keep them entertained:
- Go-Kart Racing: Head to a place like Andretti Indoor Karting & Games in Orlando. They have indoor and outdoor go-kart racing, an arcade, and other fun activities.
- Water Parks: If they enjoy water sports, check out Volcano Bay at Universal, or consider a visit to Aquatica for water slides and wave pools.
- Airboat Rides: Take an airboat tour in the Everglades for a wild ride and the chance to see Florida’s unique wildlife, including alligators!
- Indoor Trampoline Parks: Visit places like Sky Zone Trampoline Park for a high-energy day filled with jumping, dodgeball, and obstacle courses.
- Escape Rooms: Test their problem-solving skills at an escape room experience like The Escape Game Orlando, where they can work together to solve puzzles and "escape" within a set time limit.
Dining, Shopping, and Other Activities:
For dining, shopping, and fun activities in Orlando, here are some recommendations:
- Dining: Try out places like Disney Springs for a variety of family-friendly restaurants. Popular spots include The Boathouse, Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, and Raglan Road Irish Pub. Outside of Disney, consider Universal CityWalk for dining options like Toothsome Chocolate Emporium or Vivo Italian Kitchen.
- Shopping: Orlando has some great shopping spots like Orlando International Premium Outlets and Disney Springs for unique Disney merchandise. For teen boys, BoxLunch and Uniqlo offer fun, trendy clothing and accessories.
- Outdoor Activities: Take a trip to the Leu Gardens or Lake Eola Park for some downtime, or go hiking and biking at Wekiwa Springs State Park. The natural beauty of Central Florida is a great way to balance out the high-energy days at theme parks.
With 6 full days in Orlando, you should have plenty of time to balance the theme park days with other fun activities. Since you’re staying at Cabana Bay, you'll also be close to Volcano Bay and Universal’s CityWalk for even more dining and entertainment options.
Tips for Your Stay:
- Make restaurant reservations as early as possible for sit-down meals, especially at popular spots like Disney Springs. For Disney, reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance.
- Consider using the My Disney Experience app for fast dining reservations, and to plan your park days ahead of time.
- Check for any special events happening in Orlando during your stay, such as seasonal festivals or local celebrations.
Enjoy your time in Orlando and Sarasota!
