Hi. I am not interested in gambling. I am planning to go to find the theaters for the shows I will be seeing very early, in view of my recollection that hotel grounds are sprawling. I do like hotel decor, fountains, gardens, etc. Is there anything of interest close to Oyo's Stand Up and Rock showroom where the Johnny Cash show is? Is security an issue given that I am not staying at Oyo's? Thanks.
The Oyo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is located just off the main Strip, which puts it near a variety of attractions, restaurants, and hotels. While it may not have the massive hotel grounds like some of the larger resorts in the area, it is still centrally located, making it easy to explore nearby points of interest. Here’s some information to help with your planning:
Attractions Close to Oyo's Stand Up and Rock Showroom
While Oyo itself is more compact compared to some of the larger resorts on the Strip, there are still several things to see and do within walking distance or a short drive:
Hotel Decor and Atmosphere at Oyo
While Oyo may not have the lush gardens and fountains you’ll find at more high-end resorts like the Bellagio or Wynn, it does have a more affordable, simple, and cozy atmosphere. If you’re into modern, sleek decor and are looking for something less flashy, you’ll find that Oyo fits the bill. If hotel gardens and fountains are a priority, you might want to consider visiting nearby resorts, such as the Bellagio, which has an iconic conservatory and fountains, or the Venetian with its beautiful canals and indoor gardens.
Security and Access
Regarding security, Oyo is a casino and hotel, so it is open to the public, but as with all resorts in Las Vegas, it is a good idea to be aware of your surroundings. Since you’re not staying at Oyo, there is no special issue with access to the Showroom or the hotel grounds. However, it’s worth noting that some hotel areas, such as pools or rooms, may require key access. You will likely need to enter via the casino entrance and walk through the main hotel lobby to get to the showroom. As long as you're not trying to access restricted areas, security shouldn't be an issue.
Additional Recommendations
If you enjoy seeing fountains, gardens, or well-designed decor, I would recommend visiting some of these nearby locations:
In summary, while Oyo itself may not have sprawling grounds like some other resorts, it is located conveniently close to several interesting places to visit. As long as you're mindful of your surroundings, you should have no issues accessing the hotel for the shows and nearby attractions. If you’re looking for gardens, fountains, and scenic areas, a short walk or ride will get you to some of the best spots on the Strip.
