Never been in New Orleans, want to stay a week to walk around, listening to music, enjoy the city during daytime, take the street car to Garden district., etc.

Which hotel will you recommend not to far from French District, but relatively quiet

Also when is better time to visit - October or November?

I am older woman, traveling alone.
