Luggage cart rental FLL
Just an FYI. We have travelled extensively and found the $7 rental fee at Ft. Lauderdale airport to be the most expensive we have ever encountered. Most places are complimentary although we did pay 1 euro in Athens.

While some airports worldwide provide complimentary luggage carts, in the U.S., it is common for airports to charge a small fee. For comparison, some European airports may charge a nominal fee, such as 1 euro, while many others provide them for free.
If you want to avoid the $7 charge at FLL, here are a few alternatives and tips:
- Bring a small, collapsible luggage cart or hand trolley from home that can fit in your checked or carry-on luggage.
- Check with your airline or terminal services—some VIP programs or lounges may offer access to complimentary carts.
- If traveling with family or friends, consider sharing one cart and limiting trips, though space may be an issue for multiple bags.
In general, the fee at FLL is higher than average, but it is convenient for moving multiple suitcases quickly from the baggage claim to transportation, taxis, or rideshare pickup areas.
