Hotel Recommendations
After reviewing all of the wonderful hotels Chicago has to offer, I have narrowed it down to a few hotels for our 5 night stay in August. This will be our first time in Chicago, so we will be doing all of the touristy things including a game at Fenway, and enjoying the food scene. Your recommendations or advice is much appreciated.

Chicago offers a range of great hotels, and it sounds like you're choosing between some excellent options! Here's a breakdown of the hotels you're considering and what they offer to help you make the best decision for your 5-night stay:
- LondonHouse Chicago: A stunning hotel with a prime location along the Chicago River, this historic hotel has modern luxury and great views, especially from its rooftop bar. It's in the heart of the city, close to the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, and other attractions. The rooftop bar is a popular spot for both locals and tourists, and the rooms are elegant and comfortable. If you enjoy views and a trendy, upscale vibe, this is a solid choice.
- Hyatt Regency Chicago: One of the largest hotels in Chicago, Hyatt Regency is located on the Riverwalk, offering excellent access to both the Loop and Magnificent Mile. The hotel has great amenities, including a variety of dining options, a fitness center, and a large business center. The location is ideal for exploring the city's major attractions, and the rooms are spacious and well-appointed. If you're looking for a centrally-located, full-service hotel with a broad range of amenities, this is a great pick.
- Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile: Situated right off Michigan Avenue, Hyatt Centric is perfect if you're planning to shop, visit museums, or enjoy the nightlife. It's a slightly more modern and hip option compared to some of the bigger chains, and it offers a more boutique-like feel while still providing excellent amenities. If you like the idea of being close to everything with a slightly younger, more energetic atmosphere, this is a good choice.
- Loews Chicago Hotel: Located in the vibrant River North neighborhood, Loews is known for its stylish and contemporary design, large rooms, and fantastic service. The hotel features a rooftop bar with spectacular city views, a spa, and a great restaurant. If you’re looking for a blend of comfort, convenience, and upscale amenities, Loews could be an excellent choice. It's also very close to attractions like Navy Pier, the Art Institute, and the Riverwalk.
Each of these hotels offers something unique depending on your preferences for location, amenities, and atmosphere. If you prefer a trendy vibe and amazing views, LondonHouse might be your best bet. If you're looking for a centrally located, large hotel with plenty of amenities, the Hyatt Regency would be ideal. Hyatt Centric is perfect for being close to the action with a modern flair, while Loews offers a stylish, more intimate experience with excellent service.
All of these options will provide you with great access to the best parts of Chicago, so you can't go wrong with any of them. Enjoy your stay and the great food and attractions the city has to offer!
