Park Tickets advice please
Hi We are visiting in November for 2 weeks and I’m looking to buy tickets for 4 adults for Disney and universal parks. We would like to visit a combination (magic kingdom, Epcot, animal kingdom, IOA, Epic). What ticket combination would people recommend? We’ve done Disney before so likely to spend more time in Universal plus we have a couple of other things to squeeze in (airboats, Kennedy space centre) so won’t be able to go to park for those days. Thanks
For a two-week visit in November, combining Disney and Universal parks requires a strategic approach, especially since you plan to do other activities like airboat tours and visiting Kennedy Space Center. Given your group of 4 adults and your previous Disney experience, focusing more time on Universal makes sense.
Universal Orlando Tickets
Since you plan to spend more time at Universal, consider these options:
- 3–4 day Park-to-Park tickets: This allows access to both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure each day, which is useful for riding attractions like the Hogwarts Express that requires park-to-park access.
- Express Pass: If visiting during November, adding Universal Express Passes can save significant waiting time and maximize your time in the parks.
- Single park tickets: If your group prefers a more relaxed pace, you could do separate single park days for each park instead of Park-to-Park every day.
Disney Tickets
Since you’ve done Disney before and are only planning a couple of days:
- 2–3 day Park Hopper tickets: This gives flexibility to visit multiple parks in a day (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom) without committing to only one park per day.
- Consider prioritizing your favorite parks—Magic Kingdom for classics and Animal Kingdom for Pandora/Flight of Passage if you want a mix of experiences.
- Plan dining reservations in advance, especially for Magic Kingdom and Epcot, to make the most of your time.
Planning Tips
- Alternate park days with non-theme park days (airboats, Kennedy Space Center) to avoid fatigue.
- Book tickets in advance online; this is especially helpful for Universal Express and Disney Park reservations, which are required with Genie+ in some cases.
- Check park hours for each day in November, as some parks may close earlier in the evening.
Overall, a balanced approach would be: 3–4 days at Universal with Park-to-Park and Express Passes, 2–3 days at Disney with Park Hopper tickets, and 2–3 non-park days for other attractions. This gives flexibility, minimizes rushed days, and maximizes enjoyment of both resort areas and local experiences.
