Maybe not as good as online reservations but Hula Grills Barefoot Bar now has an online “Waitlist” to put yourself on for a table and is available on the main Hula Grill website.
In our case, last night we were number 10 on the waitlist when we left are condo in Kapalua and by the time I reached Whalers Village we were number 2. As we walked up to the restaurant I was texted that our table was ready. Pretty slick, no waiting at all even though the restaurant was very busy. No more standing around for an hour waiting to be called. We did do our customary walk around the shopping center after dinner though.
The Hula Grill Barefoot Bar in Whalers Village, Maui, now offers an online “Waitlist” feature for securing a table, which can be accessed directly through the main Hula Grill website. This system allows you to add yourself to the waitlist without having to arrive in person and wait physically at the restaurant.
Based on a recent experience, the waitlist works very efficiently. For example, starting as number 10 on the waitlist while leaving a condo in Kapalua, the person moved up to number 2 by the time they reached Whalers Village, and received a text notification that the table was ready right as they arrived. This eliminates the need to stand around for long periods, even when the restaurant is busy.
