Princeville area VS Kapaa/Lihue area

Question

WE are bringing our grandkids ages 8 and 12 to Kauai next May the last week of May..considering all things..weather, access to groceries restaraunts etc. does either one of these areas have a big advantage over the other? Not concerned about accomodations...we have found a suitable condo in both locations...just need to decide which location to pick. Thanks
