Prime Ribeye

Where is the best bet to get really good prime ribeye steaks cut. We tried the local store on island, but were sub par for prime. Don't mind price or a drive to purchase.

  • Eastpoint Seafood & Meats – Eastpoint is just across the bridge from St. George Island. While seafood dominates, some shops carry high-quality beef and can provide prime cuts on request. Call ahead to check availability.
  • Walmart Supercenter or Local Butcher in Carrabelle – Carrabelle is about 20–25 minutes west. Some Walmarts carry USDA Choice or Prime ribeyes, but for higher-grade cuts, look for local butcher shops that offer direct orders from suppliers.
  • Order Online from Specialty Butchers – If willing to wait a day or two, consider ordering from reputable online meat purveyors such as Snake River Farms or Omaha Steaks, which can deliver premium, USDA Prime ribeye directly to your door or a nearby pickup location.
