Weather in Walt Disney World in first half of December??

Hello to all

How is usually the weather from 1 Deceber to 20 December in the park?? And the crows in teh week before and the weekend of ThanksGiving??? Thanks in advance.

Visiting Walt Disney World in early to mid-December is generally very pleasant, both in terms of weather and crowd levels, especially compared to the busy Thanksgiving week.

Weather from December 1–20 in Orlando:

  • Average daytime temperatures typically range from the mid-70s°F (24°C) during the day to the low 50s–60s°F (11–16°C) at night.
  • Humidity is lower than in summer, making it comfortable for walking around the parks.
  • Rain is less frequent than in summer, but occasional showers can happen, so packing a lightweight poncho or umbrella is recommended.
  • Evenings can feel cool, so a light jacket or sweatshirt is useful, especially for nighttime shows and fireworks.

Regarding crowds:

  • The week before Thanksgiving is generally moderately busy as locals and early holiday visitors start arriving, but it’s still less crowded than the holiday week itself.
  • The weekend of Thanksgiving (typically late November) is one of the busiest times of the year at Disney World, with long lines and high wait times at all parks. If you can avoid these days, you’ll have a more relaxed experience.
  • After Thanksgiving, especially from December 1–20, crowds tend to be moderate to low, except for weekends or special events. Early December is actually one of the best times to visit if you want to enjoy holiday decorations without extreme congestion.

Tips to take advantage of this period:

  • Arrive early in the morning to enjoy popular rides with shorter wait times.
  • Use the My Disney Experience app for real-time wait times, dining reservations, and mobile ordering.
  • Plan your park days around expected crowd patterns; weekdays in early December are usually the least crowded.
  • Take advantage of cooler temperatures to walk around the parks comfortably and enjoy parades, shows, and seasonal decorations.

Overall, the first half of December in Walt Disney World offers mild, comfortable weather and generally manageable crowds, making it a great time for a visit if you prefer fewer lines and cooler conditions compared to the summer months or Thanksgiving week.
