Have you ever been to Qiandao Lake and taken a boat trip there in winter? The sight of a boat gliding leisurely across the lake is a rare winter lake scene.
After rowing until I was slightly sweating, I put away the oars and let the boat drift slowly. I took a sip of hot coffee, ate some snacks, and watched the sunset gradually dye the sky red.
Then we boarded an unnamed island, set up a tent, lit a bonfire, stewed a pot of Qiandao Lake fish head soup, and cooked a bowl of delicious local chicken pot. The meat on the grill was sizzling and fragrant, and the light Qiandao Lake beer made the night gradually become intoxicating.
