[Hokkaido] Kitahama Station on the Senmo Main Line in winter

The Senmo Main Line runs along the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, and Kitahama Station is the station closest to the sea. This station was also the setting for the Chinese movie "If You Can't Fall in Love" (Japanese title: "How to Fall in Love with Your Target"). Because it is close to the sea, you can see a truly amazing view during the drift ice season. To enjoy the view, there is an observation deck next to the station building. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Shiretoko.

Inside the retro wooden station building, there are so many business cards and photos pasted that it's hard to tell when they were there. Perhaps they are here to make memories.

There are not many trains, but the way they stop at the station is impressive, so I recommend taking a train or coming according to the timetable.
